The Why

Each year, hundreds of children find themselves alone and scared in the Emergency Room after experiencing a traumatic event.

In 2018, our family  joined this statistic. Jeanette Campbell was killed by a distracted driver who crashed into the family vehicle. Her daughter and grandchildren were hospitalized as a result.

A simple gesture such as a pair of comfy pajamas and a stuffed animal can bring much needed comfort when children are scared and unable to be with those that they love as a result of trauma.

“You are Brave.

You are Strong.

You are Loved.”

— Laura Oswald, FOUNDER

Jeanette would have done anything to comfort a child in need. She often sewed pajamas as an expression of love and it is in her honor that we assemble care bags featuring children’s pjs and other comforting items.
