Laura Oswald

FOUNDER & PROJECT COORDINATOR

Laura Campbell Oswald is the founder and coordinator of P4T. After she and her children were hospitalized due to a distracted driver’s reckless driving, Laura realized that there was a need for comforting care items for children in Emergency Departments. Pajamas for Trauma is her way of turning tragedy into hope.

“When something like this happens to you, you have no clue what to do. Obviously, being a mother, my kids had to come first. So Pajamas for Trauma is something that has allowed me to give back when I couldn’t for so long. And it is a way to honor our mother, Jeanette Campbell’s giving spirit in the process.”

MEDIA SPECIALIST

Christina Campbell Schriber provides support to Pajamas for Trauma. She witnessed second hand the trauma of distracted driving when a commercial vehicle struck her family with no warning. Following the crash, it was clear that there is a gap in comforting care items for children in Emergency Departments. When a child’s personal items are removed or destroyed due to trauma, a simple gesture such as comfy pajamas can make a difference.

The Oswald Kids

community Liaisons

These are the children who inspired Pajamas for Trauma. They are brave. They are strong. They are loved.

No child should be alone and scared in the Emergency Room while experiencing trauma. Unfortunately, the Oswald kids are part of the growing statistic of children affected by distracted driving.

These kiddos decided to help other children like them by collecting comforting care items.
